Project Description
So many of our students won’t get the chance to experience much outside of our community or state. So how can we build their schema? We can bring experience to them by transforming our classrooms into different places and themes. It also provides a fun and exciting learning experience. Students won’t remember much about their day-today learning experiences, but they remember the days that their learning was fun and meaningful. Recently, we had a former student share their favorite day in the previous school year was a lemonade tasting we did during a room transformation where we collected and interpreted data. This grant would supply our school 10 boxes of room transformation supplies that can be used by any teacher in our building from Pre-K through 4th grade! We will also include different activities/curriculum work for various grade levels in the boxes.
